With an iconic military background and a tough construction to match, the Alpha Industries M-65 field jacket is an enduring classic that looks great and works hard.

Originally issued to soldiers during Vietnam, this hunting jacket is practically designed for outdoor activities like shooting and fishing and makes claims of being virtually indestructible.

Functional features include a drawcord at the waist to help keep chilly draughts out and handy large outer chest pockets for stashing essentials close to hand. There are also buttons on the inner for attaching a liner if needed, while the 50% cotton, 50% nylon fabric outer shell is both wind and tear resistant.

Protection out in the field

The fabric of the M-65 coat offers water-repelling properties and there’s a useful drawstring hood that can be zipped away in the neck when not required. The front zipper is made from strong brass, which is not only practical but also completes the vintage styling.

And as this coat was originally designed for military manoeuvres, you’ll find the bi-swing back allows unrestricted movement whether you’re taking aim or taking the dog for a walk.

Sizing:

The M65 jacket is oversized and is intended to be worn with multiple layers or a liner that can be purchased separately. If you want to wear with multiple layers choose your regular jacket size, otherwise, if you want to wear with a single layer such as a shirt or t-shirt we recommend you choose one size smaller. If you want an even slimmer fit then you may need to go down two sizes.
