Green Gumbo from Firepot is based on the New Orleans pot-cooked classic ‘Gumbo Z’Herbes’ and won the Taste of the West Award in 2021. According to folklore, you will find a new friend in the coming year for each green you add to this vegan dish and in this case, Firepot has added seven earthy vegetables which include kale, green cabbage, spring greens, lettuce, spinach, parsley and watercress. Firepot dehydrated meals are made by hand as a complete meal before dehydrating to maintain the texture and flavour of your food, giving you fantastic tasting meals when on expeditions, camping and travelling.

All ingredients in Firepot food are locally sourced in England, with no preservatives and the dehydrating process ensures each pouch has a two-year use-by date.

Dehydrating the meals means they are lightweight and easier to carry than ready-to-eat meals, needing just boiling water and approximately 15-minute wait time for your food to be ready.

Alternatively, they can be emptied into a pan using cold water to prepare which is useful for larger groups or family meals. Available in 470 kcal and 700 kcal servings.
